Yes. Unlike national corporations that lease equipment or hide costs in high-interest contracts, FoxCrest Security sells all equipment outright. It is your asset from day one. If you ever move or change providers, you own the hardware.
Proprietary systems are "locked" to a specific company—if you cancel their service, your hardware becomes useless. We use non-proprietary equipment. We are authorized dealers for the products we sell but the manufacturers we partner with have a robust dealer network. This gives you the freedom to choose your service provider based on our performance, ensuring your hardware is never "held hostage."
It depends on the hardware. We are happy to perform a site security audit to evaluate your current setup. If your equipment is non-proprietary and meets our standards for reliability, we can often integrate it. If the system is outdated or "locked," we will recommend a strategic upgrade to ensure your facility is actually protected.
Many installers still use 1080p (2MP) because it’s cheap. We start at 4MP. This provides double the detail, allowing you to digitally zoom into recorded footage to identify faces or a car's make/model that would otherwise be a blur on lower-resolution systems.
Your cameras will not stop recording as long as there is power. Our systems use on-site NVR (Network Video Recorder) storage unless the customer specifies they want cloud-only recording. Even if your building loses internet, your cameras continue to record to the local hard drive 24/7. Remote viewing will simply resume once your connection is restored.
We build your system to meet your needs. While the industry standard is 14–30 days, we can scale your storage capacity to meet legal or compliance requirements for 60, 90, or even 365 days of continuous recording.
Absolutely. We specialize in integrated systems that allow you to toggle between different sites—such as an office in Frederick and a warehouse in Hagerstown—all within a single, secure mobile app or desktop dashboard.
Wireless cameras are prone to signal interference, battery failure, and can congest your business Wi-Fi. For professional commercial environments, a hard-wired system is the only way to ensure 100% reliability and the highest video quality without compromising your network.
In many cases, yes. Most commercial insurance providers offer discounts for businesses with professionally monitored, UL-Listed intrusion and fire detection. We provide the necessary certification for you to submit to your insurance agent.
